How many people would I need to sample to have a 99% confidence rating with a 2% margin of error that The Guy is just the most supportive husband there is? Okay, if it was just one person, and that person was me, I would be 100% confident, and if you readers were just the sample, I am pretty sure that would be enough too, but in statistics class last night we learned that you can determine what size sample you would need. Let me just plug these numbers in . . . . Wow! To be 99% confident with that small margin of error I would need to sample 4147 people! I am sure they would all agree once I told them how supportive he is.

It is because of his support and encouragement that I received a Resolution of Commendation from the Board of Directors at DCC commending me on being named first team for PTK All-New York State Academic Team and for being a bronze scholar by Coca-Cola (one of only 50 in the country!) and telling me how proud they are that I am a student at DCC! I think The Guy is even prouder than they are!
And tonight we'll party at the Dean's List Dinner to celebrate some of my accomplishments! Don't be fooled - the smartest people at DCC sure do know how to party. It's at the Poughkeepsie Grand and there will be food and a DJ and a big dance floor! It's the perfect way to end a very, very busy week.
I am glad I learned to find how many people I need for samples based on the confidence levels I hope to achieve, but yeah, I could have answered that question long before I learned that. It's true!
Have a great weekend and Enjoy!
