Spanish Classes Pay Off

Finally!  All those Spanish classes are going to pay off!  We are going to see West Side Story on Broadway this weekend and while they will be using the original script and choreography from this classic, wonderful, makes me cry every time show, the Sharks and the women in their lives will be actually speaking Spanish.

When they sing, Me gusta vivir en America, I'll know what they
are saying and will be able to translate for The Guy - somewhat.  I think we've both see the movie enough times to already know what they are saying, but I'll be ready just the same.  Will they be using actual Puerto Rican Spanish as opposed to the Spanish I learned in school?  I hope they do to keep it more authentic, but that will put me as a disadvantage somewhat, but like I said, I surely know the story enough to be able to know what's going on anyway.

Me siento bonita,  muy bonita . . .
